Who can join? The Hyalite Hiker Choir is an extra-curricular opportunity offered to all students in grades 4 and 5. We rehearse once per week and perform several times throughout the year at school and in the community.

When are rehearsals? Mondays after school from 3:15-3:45 in the music room. There may be occasional extra rehearsals during lunch recess the week before a performance, but this will be rare.

Behavior Policy We usually have a lot of students in choir! It is a lot of fun! We do, however, need to make sure that all students are helping make rehearsals run smoothly instead of being disruptive. If a student's behavior becomes disruptive, they may be asked to not attend choir. Parents will be notified before a student is removed from choir and chances for changes in behavior will be given.

What is the cost of choir?  Thanks to support from the PAC, this is a FREE opportunity for your child. The only cost is that of a $15 Choir T-shirt with an optional $10 sheet music/audio recording donation. If your family is facing financial hardship, your child can get a t-shirt scholarship to be in  choir! Just check the scholarship box on the sign-up form.
