Spring Fun Run
The Spring Fun Run is Hyalite’s biggest and most important FUNdraiser of the year! Held during the school day, students collect pledges from friends and family based on how many laps they believe they can run in 30 minutes. This is a healthy, fun way to support the school and the students have a blast doing it! This fundraiser accounts for nearly 70% of the PAC’s annual general fund fundraising and allows classroom teachers to provide classroom materials, field trips, guest speakers and more to help our amazing staff mold well-rounded, curious and enthusiastic citizens.
Spring 2021 Fun Run: May 7th
On May 7th, students will run laps around a track at Hyalite. Pledges can be made per lap or you can make a pledge for a flat amount. The average number of laps run is around 35, but we've seen as many as 70! Students are not only working to be their healthiest selves in running the most laps, but are working together as classes and teams to run the most laps and raise the most money.
The kids have been learning all about this exciting event at school and are getting pumped to participate. Your child should have brought home a Fun Run packet full of information including a race day schedule, and you should also have received an email from our online fundraising site, 99pledges. This site is unique to your child and will help them kickoff their fundraising efforts. If you did not receive either of these, please email the Hyalite PAC at email@example.com.
Check out how we're doing so far on fundraising, and individual class standings here!:
As part of our race day logistics, we will need parent volunteers to help set up the course, tally laps, and hand out snacks and water. See our SignUp Genius for Volunteer positions here:
You can also just come cheer on your child and their class as they run around the track. All visitors will need to check in at the outside playground gates and masks are required for all parent helpers and spectators.
This is Hyalite's biggest fundraiser of the year, please consider donating, spectating or volunteering in any way you can, and encourage your child to be active and participate! We can't wait to see everyone there!
